So a little bit about "Pan! Our Music Odyssey" :
This was the worldwide premiere of the film directed by Belgium-born director, Jerome Guiot. The story was written by T&T's leading pan writer and researcher, Kim Johnson, and the film was produced by Barthelemy Fougea and Jean Michel Gibert.
"Pan! Our Music Odyssey" is a 80 minute documentary feature which talks about the magnificent and deeply intriguing invention of the pan (which happens to be the only new acoustic musical instrument invented in the 20th century), to the steelband movement and it's many trials and tribulations, then to the pan climbing the social ladder and becoming the national instrument of Trinidad and Tobago. The documentary also follows stories of people from all around the world, T&T, France, Japan and the USA, who all fell in love with this beautiful and enchanting instrument.
